Preferences Dialog: Media

When media items are added to a project, a new Media record is created for each one, to represent the media item within the project.

Fields

Autogenerate Keywords New Media records will be automatically given one of the following keywords, as appropriate:
  • Document
  • Picture
  • OLE Object
  • Audio
  • Video
Copy Image Tag Values to the Media Record Some image files contain data, sometimes called 'tags' or metadata, which store information about the image.  If this option is enabled, when a media item is added to a project, the following image tag values will be automatically copied to the new Media record field:
  • 'Title' to the Title field
  • 'Comment' to the Note field
  • 'Date' to the Date field
  • 'Keywords' to the Keywords field (merged with auto-generated keywords)
Colours Choose the colours which are applicable to the Media Window and, in some cases, the Media tab of the Property Box.
